In the interests of journalism, a few photos from this year’s East Village Howl Festival of art and whatnot. This year what the Festival lacked in quality street art, it more than made up for in tourists. This “body canvas” was surrounded by dozens of photographing and video-taping oglers, and I of course joined them.

There is something about the light inside Thompkins Square Park that makes it look like my photos have been oversaturated and over-contrasted in photoshop. But it came out this way on its own, I swear. By the way, there is some bizarre Nightmare on Elmstreet sculpture sitting on the table there. The man behind the table is, I believe, “an artist.” And the one sleeping is a future artist, no doubt at all.
